Dialog cu Credincioşii

Un membru, activ de mulţi ani al Parohiei noastre, mi-a trimis următorul mesaj:

„Părinte eu cred că Dumneavoastră trebuie să explicaţi clar şi repetat în Biserică, că ÎN U.S.A., BISERICA E CUMPĂRATĂ, ÎNTREŢINUTĂ ŞI PREOTUL PLĂTIT DE CĂTRE PAROHIE. Nu primim bani nici de la Episcopie, nici de la Patriarhia Română, nici de la Statul Român, nici de la Statul American. Ba mai mult Episcopia se aşteaptă să o întreţinem noi prin contribuţii. Impresia mea, bazată pe conversaţii de-alungul anilor şi întărită de comentarii auzite la Consiliul de pe 29 iunie 2009, e că multă lume NU ÎNŢELEGE ACEASTA.

Ei compară mereu cu România. În România ortodoxismul e Religie de Stat. Trezoreria Statului, prin Ministerul Cultelor, întreţine şi construieşte biserici şi mănăstiri şi plăteşte lefurile preoţilor....De asta în România te poţi duce la Biserică, cumpără 3 lumânări şi întoarce acasă fără să-ţi pui întrebarea din ce trăieşte Biserica.

Asta nu se poate aici. Aici este responsabilitatea Parohiei şi este ESENŢIAL CA LUMEA SĂ FIE GENEROASĂ.

Eu cred că mulţi nu înţeleg asta şi ar trebui să o audă fără echivoc de la Dstră”.

Din Partea Reuniunii Doamnelor de la Bunavestire

Sunt Claudia Roşca, am fost propusă şi am acceptat să fiu Preşedinta Reuniunii Femeilor de la Catedrala Buna Vestire. Pentru început aş vrea să împărtaşesc cu dumneavoastră câteva gânduri.

Dorim să fie active în Reuniunea noastră cât mai multe doamne. Plata membriei este doar Ş15 pe an, deci cu cât mai multe membre cu atât creşte şi fondul  şi putem face multe lucruri bune şi frumoase.

Dorim să avem cât mai multe activităţi, deci ajutaţi-ne cu ideile Dumneavoastră.

Părintele Gherman ne-a propus să botezăm Reuniunea cu unul din aceste nume: Marta şi Maria, Femeia Samarineancă, Maria Magdalena . Care nume preferaţi (puteţi propune şi alt nume) ?

Cu orice părere aveţi sunaţi-mă la 440 895 2554 sau la biserică 440 356 1126.

From the Ladies Auxiliary at Bunavestire

I am Claudia Rosca, and I was nominated and I accepted to be the President of the Ladies Auxiliary at Buna Vestire Cathedral. I would like to share a few thoughts with you.

We would like to have more ladies that are active members of our group. The membership is only $15 a year, and with more members we would be able to do more good and beautiful things.

We would like to have more activities, and welcome your ideas.

Fr. Gherman suggested to rename the Auxiliary one of the folowing names: Mary & Marta, Samaritan Woman, Mary Magdalene. What do you think (or do you have any other suggestions?)

Events Already Completed

Mother's day dinner at 1 pm on Sunday May 11. There will also be a raffle.

Father's Day dinner at 1 pm Sunday June 15.  Dinner Flyer here.

Our church anniversary is Sunday September 7. See the flyer for program and menu.

 Picnic is scheduled for Sunday July 27  from 12 pm through the evening. This is a fundraising event for the new church. See flyer here for details.
